About Coder:Levelup
Coder LevelUp is a brand that is dedicated to leveling up the coding community in Africa. They believe that coding is a super-power and aim to help fellow Africans learn this valuable skill. Their big hairy audacious goal is to be a part of the change that sees 500,000 coders (digital makers) working in the Western Cape. They achieve this through a range of super scalable programs for the growth and development of coders of all ages, ranging from kids as young as seven to seasoned professionals.
In collaboration with the Raspberry Pi Foundation, Coder LevelUp offers programs like CoderDojo and Code Club for kids, as well as lean iterator and lean(startup)coffee support for early-stage tech startups. They also work towards growing a relevant professional body for developers through their devdev working group with the IITPSA.
Founded in 2012, Coder LevelUp has made significant strides in the coding community. With their incorporation in 2018, they have been able to better organize and collaborate with other organizations.
