About Cofepow
COFEPOW is a charitable organization dedicated to honoring the memory of the Far East Prisoners of War (FEPOWs). This includes the men, women, and children who were imprisoned or interned, as well as those who tragically lost their lives at the hands of the Japanese in the Far East. The members of COFEPOW are mainly comprised of the children, families, and friends of these brave individuals.
Through various initiatives, COFEPOW aims to perpetuate the memory of the FEPOWs and raise awareness about their sacrifices. One of their notable projects is the collection of poems written by FEPOWs and their families. The anthology, titled Poems of Hope, features over 80 powerful and poignant poems that were either composed during captivity or inspired by the wartime experiences of loved ones.
The sale of this anthology helps generate funds for the charity. COFEPOW also provides a comprehensive research database to facilitate the exploration of World War II and the Far East. This database includes thousands of liberation questionnaires and offers an integrated search engine for easy access to information.
By preserving the stories and experiences of the FEPOWs, COFEPOW ensures that their legacy lives on and continues to be remembered by future generations
