The founders, Adrienne O'Hara and Nicky Macfarlane, recognized the need for more than just a simple Day Clock or family calendar to help individuals with dementia stay connected and engaged. Through their personal experiences and expertise in business management, they developed Cognect, a platform solution that incorporates a bespoke screen and secure app.

Cognect facilitates the coordination of care tasks such as meal planning, shopping, and visit planning between family members. The benefits of Cognect extend beyond dementia care and are also applicable to older adults living at home. Currently being tested within a small circle of users and their families, Cognect aims to expand its availability in 2020.
