COLABS was founded in 2019 by Omar Shah, a former private equity investor, and his twin brother Ali Shah, who operates a family-run real estate and construction firm. Their mission was to create ease of doing business in Pakistan, leading to the concept of COLABS as a coworking space operator.

Since its launch, COLABS has achieved significant milestones, including 100% occupancy in just nine months and optimizing its buildings and staff post-covid. In 2022, the owners raised $3m in funding from prominent investors, including Indus Valley Capital, Zayn Capital, and Fatima Gobi Ventures. With a focus on community and network growth, COLABS is on a trajectory to expand its reach nationally and continue providing exceptional workspaces and solutions for its members.
