COLBY GALLERY

COLBY GALLERY is a contemporary art gallery in Chicago’s historic Pilsen neighborhood, founded by Colby Luckenbill. Its mission is to exhibit passionate, inspirational artists whose work explores new possibilities for the human experience and potential. The gallery represents local, national, and international artists and presents exhibitions intended to connect audiences with their ideas and creative visions.

COLBY GALLERY offers original artwork and prints for private collections and installations in select public spaces. Alongside exhibiting artists, the gallery supports creative development: Luckenbill curates exhibitions, works with artists on projects, and helps promote their careers. Her approach is informed by an artistic background in painting, filmmaking, and Latin American art, as well as close ties to Pilsen’s Mexican and creative communities.

The gallery has participated in the annual 18th Street Pilsen Open Studios art walk, contributing to the neighborhood’s cultural life. Its program includes solo presentations, such as Esperanza Gama’s One Woman Show, and reflects a curatorial focus on artists whose work inspires and empowers.
