Collaborative Communication

Collaborative Communication is a speech-language therapy practice focused on helping children and families build confident communication through collaborative, compassionate, evidence-based care. Its team partners with families, schools, clinics, and other care providers to create individualized support tailored to each child’s needs.

Services include direct speech, language, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), motor, and feeding therapy in home and community settings, along with comprehensive evaluations. The practice also offers consultation and collaboration, including AAC programming, motor speech and feeding support, caregiver education, and individualized training. Families can receive speech-specific guidance and advocacy when navigating evaluations, IFSP or IEP meetings, and transitions through the education system.

Collaborative Communication has specialized expertise in autism spectrum disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, AAC, pediatric feeding disorders, and complex communication needs. Co-founders and speech-language pathologists Megan Zimmerman and Devon Reed bring family-centered perspectives to their work, emphasizing education, engaging therapy, and partnership with caregivers. The practice’s goal is to help every child be heard while giving families and care teams practical support along the way.
