BoerenNatuur

BoerenNatuur Lopikerwaard, also known as Collectief Lopikerwaard, is a regional agricultural nature and landscape collective and part of the BoerenNatuur network. It works with farmers and local partners to support nature-friendly farming and strengthen the landscape across the Lopikerwaard. Its work area extends between the Lek River, the Vlist waterway, the N228 near Oudewater and the A12 and A2 motorways, including Nieuwegein, across the provinces of Utrecht and South Holland.

The collective’s activities include agricultural nature and landscape management, climate and water initiatives, landscape improvement and planting, farmer-led efforts, and area-based processes. It also supports participation in the Agricultural Nature and Landscape Management scheme (ANLb), including interest registration for 2026. Its website shares project updates, news, interviews and practical information for farmers, members, donors, volunteers, residents, educational groups and partner organisations. Through these services and collaborations, BoerenNatuur Lopikerwaard helps connect agricultural practice with care for the region’s natural and rural environment. The collective welcomes people and organisations interested in joining, volunteering, donating or partnering in its work.
