College Access FairX

College Access Fairfax is a nonprofit organization that helps Fairfax County Public Schools students and families understand how to pay for college and other post-secondary education. Its services focus on practical, accessible guidance for navigating financial aid, identifying scholarships, and planning for education costs. Students and parents can attend free workshops and events, including step-by-step FAFSA sessions, FAFSA and VASA completion events, and presentations on scholarships and paying for college as a military family.

The organization also offers appointment-based FAFSA completion assistance and online resources, including a virtual library and a college preparation guide and workbook with information on estimating costs, completing financial aid applications, and finding scholarships. Resources are tailored to students at different stages, from middle school through high school, with specific support for seniors completing aid applications. College Access Fairfax also invites community members to donate, volunteer, or designate support for a scholarship or program.

Through these services, the organization aims to make college financing easier to understand and help local students move toward future educational opportunities
