The Franco-Romanian College of European Studies is a university and research partnership based at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest. Founded in 1995, it brings together the University of Bucharest, Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University and a support consortium of 17 French universities, with the University of Luxembourg as a partner and Moldova State University associated since 2024. The College is supported by France’s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the French Embassy in Romania and the French Institute of Romania.
It offers three- to five-year programmes leading to double degrees from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the University of Bucharest. These include a law degree, a Master 1 in European and International Business Law, and a Master 2 in International and European Business Law and Governance. Students may continue into doctoral studies through joint supervision, or pursue postdoctoral opportunities through the College’s Francophone doctoral and postdoctoral institute. The College also provides academic resources, events, internships and employment information.
