About The College Tribune
The College Tribune is an independent student newspaper based in University College Dublin. Established in 1989 by Vincent Browne, one of Ireland's renowned print and broadcast journalists, it is currently in its 36th volume and edited by Danielle DerGarabedian and Rhoen Eate. As UCD's oldest surviving newspaper, the College Tribune holds a proud tradition in college journalism.
It is the last student newspaper in Ireland that is both editorially and financially independent of its college, surviving solely on advertising revenue. With its adversarial and investigative approach, the Tribune takes pride in holding the college authorities accountable. The newspaper has produced several high-profile journalists, many of whom can be seen in national media outlets today.
