La Colonie de Laxou is a holiday association in the Vosges, welcoming children aged 6 to 13 for group stays. Founded in 1951 by the parish priest of Laxou, it began with families helping to organise holidays in a family-oriented, Christian environment. The association continues to draw on this heritage through an educational project focused on each child’s physical, moral and personal development, encouraging freedom and responsibility within a supportive community.
Its programme includes seasonal holiday stays, with offerings advertised for winter, Easter, summer and autumn, as well as Christmas breaks. The site also provides practical resources for families, including a health information form, a packing guide and travel directions from Lorraine and Alsace.
In addition to children’s holidays, La Colonie de Laxou makes its facilities available for hire as a large-capacity gîte in the heart of the Vosges. This accommodation is presented as a venue for weddings, parties and other celebrations.
