Colorado West Jeep & UTV Rentals is a family-owned off-road rental and tour company based at 701 Main Street in Ouray, Colorado. Renting vehicles since 1984, the company helps visitors explore the San Juan Mountains with modern Can-Am UTVs, late-model Jeep Wranglers, and guided scenic tours. Its UTV fleet includes two-seat, four-seat, and six-seat models, with GPS and emergency beacons for areas without cell service; helmets and safety gear are included.
Customers can choose half-day, full-day, or multi-day rentals, with vehicles dropped at trailheads such as Yankee Boy Basin and Imogene Pass. Ironton Park drop-offs are available by advance arrangement for a fee. Jeep and UTV tours offer a guided option for visitors who prefer not to drive.
The company also provides trail information, maps marked with quieter routes and viewpoints, and resources for checking weather and conditions. Serving trails across the region, Colorado West operates under special-use permits on national forest and public lands. Its offerings suit couples, families, and larger groups seeking a self-guided or guided mountain adventure
