The WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) program is a vital initiative designed to promote the health and well-being of pregnant women, new mothers, and young children up to age five. As a Special Supplemental Nutrition Program, WIC offers free resources and support to eligible families, including moms, dads, grandparents, and foster parents throughout Colorado. The program provides essential benefits such as access to nutritious foods like fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, cereals, and peanut butter, ensuring that families receive the necessary nutrition.

In addition to food assistance, WIC offers extensive breastfeeding support, personalized nutrition education, and referrals to healthcare services, including immunizations and medical care. The program also emphasizes education with resources for meal planning, managing picky eaters, and budgeting tips for families.
