About COLOSSUS
COLOSSUS is an EU-funded Horizon 2020 research project focused on advancing precision medicine for people with microsatellite-stable, RAS-mutant metastatic colorectal cancer (MSS RAS mt mCRC). Recognising the need for better ways to classify patients with this specific form of the disease, the project brings together researchers, clinical organisations and industry partners to develop improved patient-stratification approaches and investigate more effective treatment options. Its long-term aim is to support a personalised medicine approach for this patient group, for whom such an approach is not currently available.
The COLOSSUS collaboration includes 13 partners across seven countries, spanning universities, cancer research institutes, clinical organisations and companies. The project shares research outputs, publications, educational resources, project materials and news through its website. Its work includes a translational study and research activities intended to help connect scientific findings with potential clinical applications. COLOSSUS ran for 60 months from 1 January 2018 and received an EU contribution of €5,996,359.50 under grant agreement 754923.
