Het Comenius Museum is gewijd aan het leven, het werk en de betekenis van de Tsjechische filosoof, theoloog en pedagoog Jan Amos Comenius (1592-1670). Het museum geeft tevens toegang tot het graf van Comenius in het naastgelegen Mausoleum, de kapel van een voormalig klooster.

About Comenius Museum en Mausoleum
The Comenius Museum is dedicated to showcasing the life, work, and significance of Jan Amos Comenius, a Czech philosopher, theologian, and pedagogue from the 16th century. The museum also provides access to Comenius' grave located in the adjacent Mausoleum, which was once a chapel of a former monastery. The museum offers various exhibitions, and currently, visitors can explore "The Labyrinth of Comenius & Huptych," featuring 20 prints by renowned Czech artist Miroslav Huptych.
These artworks provide a modern interpretation of Comenius' literary masterpiece, "The Labyrinth of the World and the Paradise of the Heart. " Additionally, the museum showcases 12 glass art pieces created by students from a Czech glass art school, offering a fresh and inspirational perspective on Comenius' work. This captivating exhibition honors the 400-year-old book, which still resonates with its satirical social criticism
