The Comitato Provinciale delle Misericordie di Catania is a volunteer organization serving communities across the Catania area. Established in 2016 and operating in the area for more than 40 years, it brings together the Misericordie associations in the province that are affiliated with the National Confederation of the Misericordie of Italy. The committee supports the public during emergencies and promotes social and cultural initiatives focused on inclusion and community well-being.

Its activities include civil protection, with volunteer support during natural disasters and other emergencies, and Universal Civil Service projects that give young people aged 18 to 29 opportunities to contribute to their community and develop personally and professionally. The committee also offers training courses for OTSSA and OTSEA qualifications related to medical transport and 118 emergency services. Through its programs, events, and local initiatives, it works to strengthen community support and preparedness. Based in Pedara, the organization provides information and assistance about its services, training, and civil service opportunities through its provincial offices and dedicated contacts.
