CommuneOT is a mobile paediatric occupational therapy service supporting babies and children aged 0–7, along with their families, in Perth’s northern suburbs, including Wanneroo, Joondalup and surrounding areas. Founded by Lucy Edwards, an occupational therapist with more than ten years of clinical experience, the service focuses on early childhood development and Autism. CommuneOT provides evidence-based, individualised support guided by family-centred, strengths-based and neurodivergent-affirming principles, with a commitment to listening to autistic voices.
Sessions take place in children’s natural environments, such as home, childcare, school or local community settings, helping families and educators build skills and adapt environments to support participation. Services may include one-to-one therapy, parent coaching and telehealth; group sessions are planned for the future. Support addresses play, rest and sleep, daily living skills, education and social participation, including routines, self-care, feeding, classroom engagement and relationships with peers.
CommuneOT works collaboratively with parents and caregivers to help them feel confident supporting their child’s development and everyday activities. The service accepts NDIS, Medicare and private clients
