Community Based Connections, Inc. (CBCI) is a Florida-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit human services organization serving families and communities in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Founded on the belief that providers with strong community ties are well placed to help, CBCI works to improve the odds of success for children and youth, including those facing significant challenges. Its mission is to expand opportunities for children to thrive socially and academically and build skills for adulthood.
CBCI develops, delivers, and evaluates services focused on youth development, family strengthening, and community empowerment. Programs include Early Achievers, Club Elevate, Young Believers, Haven Healing Space, Awesome Dads, Awesome Men, the Kinship Program, the Beacon of HOPE–Intact Family Navigation Program, and the S.M.A.R.T. Team. The organization also offers education and mental health services, family preservation support, and a Child/Family Resiliency Fund that helps families facing emergencies with essential supplies. CBCI provides an intake process for people seeking assistance and encourages community participation through donations, volunteering, and program sponsorships.
