About Community Energy Malawi
Community Energy Malawi (CEM) is a prominent energy access organization dedicated to bringing clean and innovative energy solutions to off-grid last mile communities in Malawi. With a focus on health, education, domestic, and agricultural productive use, CEM aims to improve the lives of these underserved communities.
CEM operates under the guidance of a strong corporate governance structure, abiding by the Trustees Incorporation Act of the Laws of Malawi and registered with the NGO Regulatory Authority (NGORA). Additionally, CEM maintains an Advisory Board that collaborates with the Trustees and the CEM Secretariat to provide expert input on strategic and business plans, as well as represent CEM in international engagements and negotiations.
