ACGA, the American Community Gardening Association, is a grassroots non-profit advocacy organization focused on community gardening. Their mission is to build community by increasing and enhancing community gardening and greening across the United States and Canada. With over 1,000 individual and 252 organizational members, ACGA links 2,100 gardens across both countries, ranging from family allotments to urban farms.

Their diverse membership includes active community gardeners, supportive volunteers, garden organizing and sponsoring organizations, governmental agencies, and horticultural professionals. Founded in Chicago in 1979, ACGA is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit, with offices currently based in Atlanta, Georgia. ACGA brings together people, resources, and education to benefit lives and neighborhoods through community gardening.

They offer networking opportunities, educational initiatives, and hold acclaimed annual conferences that bring together practitioners, sponsors, and researchers from around the world. ACGA is led by an all-volunteer board and elected officers, who provide diverse talents and experience. ACGA believes in inclusion, diversity, and inclusivity and values a welcoming environment for all members.
