About Community Medics
Community Medics is a trusted brand that provides essential emergency medical care in your neighborhood. When every second counts, our dedicated volunteers swiftly arrive on the scene to stabilize patients until the ambulance arrives. Our medics are highly trained and registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), ensuring that you receive the same level of care as the crews in permanent ambulance services.
As a registered Ambulance Service Provider, our medical response vehicles are fully equipped to meet the Department of Health's specifications. Regardless of whether you have medical aid, our medics initiate treatment and deliver first-world medical care, without charging you for our services. With the increasing number of families without medical aids, we receive up to 2,000 calls per year, attending to each one promptly.
We not only stabilize patients and support their families, but we also arrange ambulances and ensure that patients receive continued treatment at hospitals. Our organization, Community Medics Trust, has been serving the community since 1998 and has expanded its services to include Camps Bay, Cape Town City Bowl, and Table View. We have earned the trust of the community through our efficient response times, which are consistently under 8 minutes for priority calls.
Our operations cover a wide area, including Camps Bay, Hout Bay, Cape Town CBD, Milnerton, Table View, Melkbosstrand, and Atlantis. To support our mission of providing free, first-world medical response services, we rely on partnerships, sponsors, supporters, and volunteers. We are a registered Public Benefit Organization (PBO) and a Non-Profit Organization (NPO), allowing us to issue Section 18A certificates for donations, which can be tax-deductible.
Our vision is to ensure that all members of the community, regardless of income status, have access to high-quality emergency medical care. When you contact us, our 24-hour control room and automated dispatch system will immediately alert the nearest responders, guiding them to your location. Trust Community Medics to deliver urgent care when you need it most
