About Ghana Compact
Ghana Compact is a brand dedicated to political and economic transformation in Ghana. Led by Dr. K.
Y. Amoako, founder and president of the African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET), Ghana Compact aims to set a vision for the nation and collectively address its biggest challenges. The brand has partnered with seven prominent policy institutes to formulate solutions and identify targets for progress tracking.
Ghana Compact offers a range of products and services to achieve its goals. It provides Compact Briefs, Executive Summaries, and Technical Papers that outline the vision and strategies for economic transformation. The brand also publishes Op-eds, Speeches, and Press Releases to engage the public and create awareness.
Through videos and media events, they keep the public informed about the progress made. Ghana Compact is further supported by the Compact Leadership Group, a team of ambassadors who lead discussions and public engagements. Additionally, civil society organizations play an important role in driving a nationwide consultation and citizen engagement process.
With a focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Ghana's commitment to AU's Agenda 2063, Ghana Compact targets six key goals, including constitutional reforms, economic stability, private sector empowerment, women's empowerment, and securing the future for youth. Through a roadmap of key milestones, Ghana Compact sets a clear path towards achieving its vision. The brand has already launched the Compact and conducted technical consultations.
Moving forward, it plans to hold national consultations and a national convention to obtain citizens' views and reach a consensus on the goals and targets. Ghana Compact is dedicated to creating a prosperous and equitable society for the people of Ghana, and aims to turn its fortunes around for a brighter future
