Companah is a small business founded in Central North Carolina by Hal and Shannon Atkins, who have a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of the state and a passion for caring for others. With careers in science and technology, they have built Companah to offer innovative and environmentally responsible pet cremation services. Companah understands that pets are beloved members of the family, and their passing should be treated with the same love and respect they received in life.

That's why all pets in their care are handled with dignity and care, using a unique identifier system to ensure that their remains are returned to their families. One of their unique offerings is water cremation, which accelerates the natural decomposition process while using 95% less energy and producing zero emissions of greenhouse gases. This process has a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to traditional fire-based cremation methods.

Companah also offers various memorial products, including wooden and pottery urns, paw prints, and customized engravings, to help families honor and remember their beloved pets. With Companah, you can trust that your pet's aftercare will be handled with utmost care, compassion, and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
