Compass AFC Inc.

Compass AFC is a Massachusetts provider of Adult Foster Care (AFC), a MassHealth benefit that supports people who need daily hands-on help to remain at home. Rather than placing members in a facility or assigning rotating agency workers, the program enables a relative, friend, or neighbor to provide care, with the exception of spouses and legal guardians as paid caregivers.

Compass AFC helps eligible caregivers apply, complete paid training, and receive a tax-free stipend. Members are supported by a registered nurse and case manager, who help develop a written care plan and remain involved throughout enrollment. The organization also accepts referrals from families and professionals, including physicians, social workers, and discharge planners, and can help check eligibility.

Compass AFC is CARF accredited and works with most MassHealth plans. Its bilingual care teams support families in Spanish, Vietnamese, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, and Hindi, with interpretation available in additional languages. Secure technology helps manage care notes, records, documents, and messages.
