About Compassionate Friends
Compassionate Friends is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comfort, hope, and support to families who have lost a loved one. Founded 50 years ago, Compassionate Friends was born out of the realization that the support grieving families gave each other was more powerful than any words a chaplain could offer. Today, the organization continues to offer highly personal assistance to families experiencing the death of a child, sibling, or grandchild.
Compassionate Friends aims to ensure that everyone who needs their support can find them, and that everyone who finds them will be helped. They offer a wide range of resources and services, including local chapters, online communities, crisis hotlines, and family support programs. Additionally, they have a shop where you can find books and other helpful materials, as well as an online magazine and blog articles to provide further support and guidance.
