COMTERRA

Comunidad Terapéutica Raíces (COMTERRA) is a rehabilitation organization focused on supporting people affected by problematic alcohol and drug use. Its professional practice takes a holistic approach to mental health, placing each person at the center of care and recognizing the interconnected dimensions of body, mind, and soul. The organization aims to help people begin a path toward recovery and reintegration into society as healthy, productive, and fulfilled individuals.

COMTERRA offers treatment programs for men and women, including a program for men under supervised release and general-population programs. These services operate through agreements with Chilean public agencies, including SENDA and the Southern Metropolitan Health Service, and work with referring organizations such as Gendarmería de Chile, COSAM, and SEFAM. The organization also identifies several therapeutic homes: Guacolda, Honduras, Kudaw-Mapu, and Kutralma.

Raíces emphasizes recovery, personal change, and a supportive, understanding environment. It invites individuals and those concerned about someone’s substance use to make contact for guidance and assistance.
