Comunalia is a Mexican non-profit civil association named Alianza de Fundaciones Comunitarias de México. Our mission is to promote sustainable development by empowering communities to become leaders in their own growth. We work closely with local and national actors to contribute to the well-being of communities across the country.

At Comunalia, we mobilize, unite, and harness the resources of community foundations to address local issues through various strategies. We strengthen capacities through workshops, seminars, forums, and peer learning spaces. We collaborate on research projects and disseminate knowledge relevant to the philanthropic sector.

We advocate for policy changes to create a better environment for civil society organizations in Mexico. Additionally, we promote community philanthropy and facilitate social investment to address shared challenges. As an alliance of Mexican community foundations, we are committed to fostering sustainable development and improving the lives of communities.
