Comuna Project is a non-profit foundation based in the Las Independencias neighborhood of Comuna 13 in Medellín. Our mission is to improve the quality of life through free courses and workshops, with a special focus on social innovation. We believe that education is a catalyst for transformation within communities like ours.

In partnership with the Junta de Acción Comunal de Independencia 1, universities, companies, and schools, we have transformed the community action board's space into a center for education and ideation. Together, we have developed innovative ideas and initiatives to serve our community and its surroundings. Some of our ongoing projects include free English classes led by Professor David Correa, home improvement projects in alliance with Cementos Argos, a gastronomic laboratory focused on nutrition and mental health, educational outings for universities and business groups, a social enterprise promoting craftsmanship, a free theater school in collaboration with the Fundación Eva Moreno, and an urban garden project.
