Comunidad FAC

The Federación Argentina de Cardiología (FAC) is a national organization committed to helping people across Argentina understand and prevent cardiovascular disease. Through its Secretariat for Community Outreach, the FAC shares accessible, evidence-based health information and promotes practical prevention in homes, schools, and communities. Its work covers heart attacks, hypertension, diabetes, stroke, sudden cardiac death, and cardiovascular health during pregnancy, alongside guidance on healthy eating, physical activity, sleep, emotional wellbeing, and avoiding tobacco and nicotine.

The FAC organizes public awareness campaigns, educational activities, community health events, and training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and emergency response, including the use of automated external defibrillators. Its National Heart-Healthy Schools Program provides free, age-adapted materials to help educational institutions incorporate cardiovascular prevention into school life. The federation also collaborates with regional cardiology societies and other health organizations on outreach initiatives, screenings, and practical guidance. Through news, frequently asked questions, media resources, and health-management content, the FAC encourages people to recognize warning signs, seek appropriate care, and adopt habits that support heart health.
