Comunidad SABE is an initiative of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation that promotes a fairer and more sustainable food system in Spain. It brings together scientific evidence and collaboration among the diverse actors shaping food. The community’s work is organized around three complementary aims: conducting multidisciplinary research to generate robust knowledge, encouraging dialogue and joint action, and communicating science and sustainability to help society make informed, responsible choices.

At its heart are the Daniel Carasso Fellows, early-career researchers from different disciplines who share a commitment to accelerating food-system transformation in Spain. Comunidad SABE also makes evidence accessible through articles and commentary that connect research with practice, addressing topics such as food digitalization, agroecological change, fishing knowledge, and the circular economy. Its news coverage highlights community events and achievements in sustainable diet research. By linking researchers with practitioners and public audiences, Comunidad SABE seeks to turn scientific insight into shared understanding and progress toward a more sustainable food future.
