About CONAPAC
CONAPAC, the Civil Association for Conservation of the Peruvian Amazon Environment, is an NGO formed in 1990. Comprised of dedicated professionals, including teachers and forestry engineers, CONAPAC is passionate about the conservation of the Peruvian Amazon primary rainforest. Their staff is committed to providing education and sustainable living tools to the rural and Indigenous communities of the Peruvian Amazon.
Their programs include Adopt-A-School, which supports schools in these communities, and the implementation of clean water systems. Through these initiatives, CONAPAC aims to promote community-driven conservation and honor traditional knowledge. Meet their staff and consultants, such as Megan McDaniel, the Executive Director who left teaching to pursue a Master's degree in Environmental Studies and lead CONAPAC's work.
Michel Paolo Briceno Pacaya, the Director of Social-Environmental Projects and Community Relations, oversees all projects and provides solutions. Oscar Quiroz Fajardo and Lira Fajardo Góngora, external consultants, contribute their expertise in education and support the hiring and contracting of teachers. Join CONAPAC in their mission to promote conservation and environmental education in the Peruvian Amazon.
Stay connected through their mailing list and get involved in their programs. Together, let's protect this valuable ecosystem for future generations
