Antonio Scarponi is the founder of Conceptual Devices, a research-based interdisciplinary design and architecture studio. Antonio Scarponi defines their approach as conceptual devices, engaging artistic forms and spatial knowledge to maximize the impact of vision-driven agendas.

One area of expertise for Conceptual Devices is participatory methodologies in soilless urban farming, which they use to promote resilience in communities of all sizes. They go beyond conventional product-based design, embracing DIY aesthetics and methodologies to conceive new ideas and solutions. Importantly, the studio is actively involved in teaching and lecturing, sharing design knowledge through courses, workshops, consulting, and coaching.

Antonio Scarponi, the studio's founder, is an architect, designer, and educator with a focus on using art, design, and architecture as tools for social engagement. He has been involved in resilient urban strategies and has a strong interest in urban agriculture. Currently, he is co-heading the Certificate of Advanced Studies Knowing Space program at Zurich University of the Arts
