About Concern for the Girl Child
Concern for the Girl Child (CGC) is a non-profit organization founded in 2001, dedicated to empowering marginalized girls in Uganda. Established by Dr. Ann F.
Hayes and the Late Freddie Henry Kasozi, CGC addresses the challenges faced by vulnerable girls, including high dropout rates, exploitation, and abuse. Through a holistic approach, CGC provides quality education, sexual reproductive health information, and water, sanitation, and hygiene initiatives. With a focus on economic strengthening, child protection, and advocacy for children's rights, CGC has directly supported over 1,300 girls and reached over 40,000 individuals through child protection projects.
By collaborating with partners, CGC has increased enrollment and completion rates among girls, contributing to gender equality and the empowerment of all children. Join CGC in their mission to empower vulnerable girls by donating or getting involved in their various programs and initiatives
