Confirmado is a collaborative project aimed at combating misinformation in Guatemala. They provide verification, data, and digital education services to address the issue of misinformation effectively. Confirmado initially started as an initiative by a group of allies with the support of Mirador Electoral to fight misinformation during elections.

They successfully launched a dedicated platform for elections with funds from Mirador Electoral. Amid the ongoing health crisis, Confirmado launched a temporary platform to tackle COVID-19 misinformation with the help of experts. After the electoral process, they shifted their focus to creating an educational platform called Campus Confirmado, funded by ICFJ.

Campus Confirmado offers various courses related to media literacy and fact-checking. Their methodology for data verification involves selecting relevant information, consulting official sources, contrasting data with official records, seeking expert opinions, confirming or debunking the claims, and finally publishing the results.
