Confoederatio is a multidisciplinary data and technology organization whose divisions produce research datasets, software, analytical tools, and creative projects. Its Research Division (CRD) focuses on academic data and the tools used to create and maintain it, particularly for long-term geographic, historical, economic, and demographic analysis. Its open-access datasets include Atlas, covering historical borders; Eoscala, offering gridded economic statistics; Velkscala, covering population and land use; and Stadestér, documenting cities and urban growth.

Together, these resources support analysis extending thousands of years into the past, with structured global data available at multiple time intervals and spatial resolutions. Confoederatio also develops Collation, an open-source suite for mapping live news and events, and Naissance, a four-dimensional GIS for mapping, simulation, raster processing, and statistical analysis.
