The Congrés d’Higienistes Dentals de Catalunya is a professional event focused on connecting dental hygienists and sharing knowledge that supports the future of the profession. Organised by the Col·legi d’Higienistes Dentals de Catalunya (COHIDEC), the congress brings together practitioners for specialist presentations, professional development and opportunities to engage with colleagues and collaborators. Its third edition welcomed more than 190 attendees, featured over 10 hours of training and involved eight collaborators; 94% of participating congressgoers reported satisfaction.

The programme and educational content address topics relevant to clinical practice, including early detection of peri-implantitis, nutrition and periodontal health, medication management, guided-surgery preparation, cleft lip and palate care, and childhood orofacial development. Interviews and short learning features extend these discussions, while a photo gallery lets visitors revisit past events. The website also points professionals towards COHIDEC’s ongoing courses, seminars and training resources. With preparations underway for its fourth edition, the congress invites dental hygienists and potential business collaborators to stay informed and take part in a community committed to professional excellence and better oral health.
