ConnectDem is a Norwegian nonprofit organization and social enterprise established in 2024 by family carers and a researcher. It works to strengthen people who support someone living with dementia, helping them build confidence, resilience and more manageable everyday lives. Its central offering is a structured, low-threshold 12-week carer program developed by PhD Alexandra Vik.
The program combines a digital portal available around the clock with eight group sessions and regular drop-in opportunities, creating space for reflection, practical learning and peer support. ConnectDem also offers a meeting place called ER HER, a café for carers aged 18–35, and talks. Its services are designed for carers at different stages and complement existing support rather than replace it.
The organization works with municipalities, health services, businesses and other organizations that want to provide support to carers. ConnectDem reports that it received NOK 200,000 from Stormfondet and Sparebanken Vest in 2024. Its work focuses on turning knowledge and shared experience into practical support for people affected by dementia in their close relationships
