Connect For Life is a registered charity and Charitable Incorporated Organisation based in Oswestry, Shropshire. It provides day care support for older people, particularly those living with dementia or memory loss, in a safe, welcoming and caring environment. The charity’s aim is to help people meet others, build connections and enjoy greater wellbeing, self-esteem and a sense of worth.
Weekly sessions take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Gatacre Pavilion in Oswestry. Activities include brain-stimulating, relaxing and informative sessions, with opportunities to try new skills, share experiences and enjoy teamwork, laughter and friendly competition. The service also encourages peer support, helps reduce social isolation and offers carers a few hours of respite.
Sessions are run in accordance with Christian principles, with an emphasis on mutual respect, acceptance and valuing each person’s contribution.
