Connections SLP | Bellingham WA is a pediatric clinic founded in 2000 by Melissa Bartel, CCC-SLP. With a background in both school and hospital settings, Melissa recognized the need for better access to speech therapy services in Whatcom County and decided to create her own clinic. Initially starting as a solo practitioner, the clinic has since expanded to include several SLPs, assistants, and a Physical Therapist.

The addition of physical therapy has allowed Connections SLP to provide more comprehensive therapy services to children. Connections SLP offers a range of services to children from birth to age 21, including speech and language therapy, feeding therapy, and physical therapy. They treat various disabilities such as speech/language impairment, developmental delays, autism, genetic syndromes, sensory integration issues, and more.

Their services are not limited to their clinic alone, as they also provide on-site services to local childcares and preschools.
