About Cono Sur Japan
Cono Sur is a pioneering winery established in 1993 in Chile, dedicated to producing innovative wines that highlight the charm of New World wines. The name "Cono Sur," meaning "Southern Cone," reflects the winery's geographical roots in South America. With over 2,000 hectares of vineyards across 40 sites, including 340 hectares certified organic, Cono Sur cultivates around 20 grape varieties that are nurtured in their unique terroirs.
Renowned for its commitment to sustainability, Cono Sur was one of the first wineries to adopt screw caps and sustainable agriculture practices. They utilize eco-friendly methods, such as integrating geese and sheep in vineyard maintenance, and have successfully achieved B-Corp certification, recognizing their social and environmental efforts.
Their product lineup includes premium offerings like the Silencio, Ocio, and a range of organic and sparkling wines, all crafted using state-of-the-art technology at their Chimboreongo facility. Cono Sur has earned accolades, including being named the Best Producer in Chile at the International Wine & Spirits Competition for two consecutive years.
