About CONP
The Canadian Open Neuroscience Platform (CONP) is dedicated to enhancing accessibility to neuroscience research, data, and tools, with the primary goal of expediting scientific discovery and translating findings into effective disease treatments. The CONP champions a multi-faceted approach to open science in neuroscience. Central to its mission is the CONP Portal, a platform that facilitates the sharing of datasets, analysis tools, and experiments while adhering to FAIR principles. Additionally, the CONP offers Evidence, an open publishing platform for transparent, reproducible scientific publications that integrate data and necessary computational environments.
CONP actively supports neuroscience research communities across Canada by promoting unrestricted data sharing, fostering the creation of large-scale databases, and training the next generation of computational neuroscience researchers. It also provides governance frameworks and ethical toolkits for responsible data-sharing practices. Funded by various organizations, including Brain Canada, the CONP is committed to making neuroscience research more accessible, thus paving the way for innovative solutions to pressing clinical challenges.
