About The Land Conservancy
The Land Conservancy (TLC) is a non-profit, charitable Land Trust in British Columbia dedicated to the protection of important habitats for plants, animals, and natural communities. With a focus on properties with historical, cultural, scientific, scenic, or compatible recreational value, TLC works to preserve and maintain these valuable resources. As a membership-based organization, TLC relies on the support of its strong membership and volunteer base to carry out its conservation objectives.
Founded in 1997, TLC operates in a non-confrontational, businesslike manner, collaborating with partners at all levels, including government, agencies, businesses, community groups, and individuals. TLC offers a range of services and programs, including the Education Hub, Passport to Nature, Deertrails Naturalist Program, and Protect Your Land. Through these initiatives, TLC engages the community, raises awareness about conservation, and encourages people to get involved in protecting and preserving the natural beauty of British Columbia.
