About Conserving Carolina
**Conserving Carolina** is a dedicated land trust focused on the protection and restoration of the natural landscapes in Western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina. Established from the merger of Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy and Pacolet Area Conservancy, the organization has successfully safeguarded nearly 49,000 acres through community engagement and strategic partnerships. Its mission centers on inspiring appreciation for the natural world while ensuring sustainable access to vibrant ecosystems.
Conserving Carolina offers a variety of programs and services, including the establishment of parks, trails, and preserves that connect people to nature. With over 100 miles of trails in development, the organization facilitates outdoor activities such as hiking and forest bathing. Additionally, they provide opportunities for community involvement through volunteer programs and AmeriCorps initiatives.
