About Constructive Institute
The Constructive Institute is a renowned independent center spearheading the global constructive journalism movement. Our mission is to transform the news culture worldwide and bolster democracy through journalism. We combat the trivialization and erosion of journalism by promoting reporting that focuses on solutions, balances perspectives, and connects communities.
Located at Aarhus University in Denmark, we provide valuable support to journalists and news organizations by offering a portal with best practices, an impactful fellowship program, reporting projects, and independent academic research. Our team, led by investigative journalist Ulrik Haagerup, has a remarkable track record in top newsrooms across Denmark. Additionally, we collaborate with 10-12 media professionals each year, allowing them to work on individual projects related to constructive journalism.
We also share the latest updates, events, and news from across the constructive journalism network.
