Construire l’Architecture is a teaching collective focused on structure and construction at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-la-Villette. Its work brings together teaching, outreach, research and building, with the aim of making architectural structure and construction accessible and engaging. The collective offers learning resources across a broad range of subjects, including statics, strength of materials, structural morphology, earthquake-resistant design and timber construction. Its materials also include structural tutorials and an educational toolbox, alongside resources for construction topics such as fire safety, interventions in Paris’s existing buildings and parametric design.

The collective’s activities extend beyond coursework to research, publications and practical projects. Its site presents “Les Petits Constructeurs,” a project associated with hands-on construction, as well as “La Vrillette,” identified as a winning project in the 2018 Sculpture Tectonique competition. Through this combination of instruction, accessible explanations and project work, Construire l’Architecture connects architectural design with the structural and construction principles that shape the built environment.
