Conta Ovos is an innovative application designed to enhance the efficiency of counting Aedes aegypti eggs, developed through collaborative efforts from renowned institutions such as Fiocruz, CEFET-RJ, and Mosqlimate (FGV). This application, currently implemented in various municipalities under the supervision of the Ministry of Health, aims to significantly reduce the time healthcare professionals spend on egg counting. By automating the counting process, Conta Ovos not only optimizes time management but also generates detailed heat maps showcasing egg distribution across municipalities.
These maps assist health professionals in directing targeted actions against mosquito proliferation. Users of the app can log in via invitations from public agents to register ovitraps, launch egg counts, and access real-time data. Additionally, it provides valuable historical insights for evaluating the effectiveness of health strategies.
By simplifying data management and visualization, Conta Ovos contributes to improved public health outcomes, allowing professionals to focus more on preventive measures and monitoring activities
