Controlling Compass

Controlling Compass is an independent interim finance and control practice that helps organizations strengthen financial insight, decision-making, and performance. Led by an experienced interim controller, it works across Business Control, Commercial Control, and Financial Control, combining financial expertise with a practical, analytical approach.

Its services include forecasting and budgeting, performance management, KPI development, pricing and margin analysis, business cases, financial reporting, and support for planning and control cycles. Controlling Compass also helps improve month- and year-end closing, internal controls, finance processes, and audit readiness. For organizations seeking clearer management information, it develops dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI, Excel, and Power Query.

The practice supports management, finance teams, and commercial functions, translating financial and operational data into useful insights and concrete actions. It also offers a knowledge bank of free, practical templates, models, and formats covering strategy, planning and control, reporting, and risk management. Its approach emphasizes workable implementation, clear documentation, and handover so improvements can continue after an assignment ends.
