The Japanese Society of Pediatric Emergency Medicine (JSEP) is a professional organization dedicated to advancing, developing, and promoting pediatric emergency medicine and care. With more than 2,100 members, it fosters collaboration and shared understanding among professionals working to improve emergency care for children. The Society serves physicians, nurses, emergency medical personnel, other healthcare professionals, and the public by sharing timely information and educational resources.

JSEP organizes annual scientific meetings, educational seminars, disaster medicine training, and seminars on pediatric brain-death determination. Its committees support professional development through training goals, certification opportunities, clinical guidance, and resources on topics such as assessing a child’s condition during sudden illness and deciding when medical care is needed. The Society also publishes its journal, provides submission information and clinical guidelines, and shares committee updates and relevant academic news. In addition, it offers disaster-related support information and resources for healthcare workers and communities.
