CONVOY is a Bitcoin mining pool operated by Tilo Solutions, Inc., and the successor to OCEAN. Its mission is to decentralize Bitcoin mining by giving miners greater control over how blocks are constructed, rather than leaving transaction selection and ordering entirely to a pool. Through DATUM (Decentralized Alternative Templates for Universal Mining), miners can build their own block templates using their own Bitcoin node and Gateway. The service is non-custodial: newly mined rewards are paid directly by the Bitcoin network, with CONVOY coordinating their distribution.
Miners can join without creating an account, using a Bitcoin address as their worker name. CONVOY offers a transparent TIDES reward system, designed to calculate miners’ pro rata shares of block rewards, including transaction fees, and make payouts auditable. The pool lists a standard fee of 1%, with a 2% fee when miners fail over to its node; DATUM users receive a 50% pool-fee discount. CONVOY also provides setup documentation, a mining dashboard, pool statistics, community chat, and support for BIP110 and BLAKE2b mining.
