We're a tiny team of two from New Zealand that come from art, design, illustration, and animation backgrounds. We’ve been gaming since Pokemon Blue and Crash Bandicoot days, and have forever wanted to make our own games. In 2019 we sold everything and left New Zealand to travel around the world until… the pandemic hit. We found ourselves stuck in a long lockdown in Portugal with nothing to do. With no coding experience we decided to jump into a game jam, and after one sleepless week, ‘Cat or Ice Cream?’ was born. With every game we make, we try something new. Throwing wild ideas at the wall to see what sticks, conjuring the weirdest art styles we can imagine, and even flipping game bugs into features. We hope our games bring you as much joy as we’ve had making them.

cookiecrayon is a New Zealand-based brand founded by a talented duo with backgrounds in art, design, illustration, and animation. Their journey in game development began with their passion for gaming, dating back to the days of Pokemon Blue and Crash Bandicoot. In 2019, they took a leap of faith by selling everything and embarking on a world travel adventure. However, their plans took a twist when the pandemic struck, leaving them stranded in Portugal during a lengthy lockdown.
